The field of sciences basically comprises two main areas, namely basic and applied sciences which cover a horizon of specialties within each area. As the name suggests, applied science is the application of science in a physical setting. It differs from basic sciences which mainly focus on science for knowledge. A New Day, a New Technology

Every new day to school, kids come geared up to study a new trick and go back and proudly present the details to their parents. Technology has been an area where the child has immense interest and fascination, seeing parents and older siblings use it in front of them for ages. As a teacher, we can initiate children through technology to one of the most powerful tools used today in online learning and studying. The uses of flashcards are varied and very fascinating. It is a tool which can be used with ease by very young kids, and it can also be a fascinating tool to help them understand many subjects. Children have a very keen visual sense, and they tend to remember details in front of their eyes much more in comparison to what they heard. Flashcards which are handmade do not have the special factor of being on a computer, and hence making it more difficult to for children to accept them as a new means of learning. When we use the same kind of flashcards but on the computer, they are more keen on seeing it and using the flashcard in their learning. Also a computer generated flash card can be used with a wide variety of media props which will invariably leave a deeper impact on the child’s memory. Children can use these flashcards as a means of making notes and learning new particulars every day, and then, these can be used during exams as pre aligned notes made by the student themselves, and also saving time during exam preparation.
